How many direct dial numbers can my system connection receive?
Numbers are in short supply - for this reason the Telecommunications and Post Regulatory Authority has placed a halt on the over-generous allocation of numbers.
When applying for a system connection that is capable of direct dialling, we are consequently obliged to calculate the maximum number of direct dialling numbers allocated according to a specific key, which is based on the number of usage channels (simultaneous calls possible). To be able to meet the requirements of VoIP, we determine the need based on the bandwidth and VoIP infrastructure available to the customer, with an average value of 64 KBit per usage channel.
This results in the following allocation:
- Up to 128 KB bandwidth: Block 0-9
- Up to 256 KB bandwidth: Block size e.g. 0-29*
- Up to 512 KB bandwidth: Block size e.g. 0-*
- Up to 512 KB on application: Block size 0-99 *
- Up to 1024 KB bandwidth: Block size e.g. -0 to -199 *
- Up to 2048 KB bandwidth: Block size e.g. -0 to -499 *
* When ordering this block size, you must explicitly confirm that the required bandwidth is available. We reserve the right to request proof (e.g. DSL account).
